Where are some good places to stop and camp in Kansas along Hwy 70?

We are driving an RV from St. Louis to The Rocky Mountains this Memorial weekend. We have from Saturday until Monday to get there. Where are some good places to stop and camp in Kansas along Hwy 70?

We like camping in State Parks with lots of trees and space. When I looked up KS state parks I had a hard time judging what the campgrounds looked like…most seemed treeless?

Well, you’re always safe with Kampgrounds of America:

As far as state parks go, I can only speak for Tuttle Creek, which is located on the other side of the dam in Manhattan–it is where the Country Stampede is held every year, if you’re familiar with that. It’s a nice place…plenty of places for your RV to park, in addition to tent camping and cabins. Decently priced as well. They’ve got a lot of construction going on (who knows why), but for the most part, it’s a very lovely place to camp…lots of trees, a lake to swim in/canoe on, etc. It’s a little off of I-70 (especially compared to KOA) but is nice. You could also head up for a drive in the flint hills, or to the Konza prairie if you want to sightsee a bit (with three days, you’ll have time). The hills are the prettiest part of Kansas, you know :)
