Passport by Mail

You may request a renewal passport by mail using Form DS-82 if you meet certain requirements and have more than two weeks before departure. Your current passport can not be harmed. First, call the National Clearinghouse at 1-877-487-2778 Passport and make an appointment at the passport agency that serves your area. You should arrive 15 minutes early, or be more than 15 minutes late.
