I need help finding a good campsite in 60 or more miles from Kansas City?

We are new to camping, so I'm not familiar with a lot of campgrounds in the area. I need to find a place to take my family that is relatively close to KC (although we are prepared to take some) and I need a campsite that has access to electricity, because my husband has sleep apnea. We also need a place that feels like we're away with room to run and walk, and allows campfires. Oh, and one more thing …. they must allow dogs. Anyone had good experiences with a site that would like to share?
