Northern California has much to offer not only its residents but also visitors. A party is the sole Fair Calaveras County and the Jumping Frog Jubilee, yes, of Jumping Frog Jubilee.
Calaveras County is also known as Frogtown, and is between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, bringing you not only leap-frog, but the events of horses, a Tuff Truck competition and its own interpretation of American Idol. In Lodi you can visit the Harvest Festival and Grape right in the middle of September. Musical acts friendly competition between photographers and weavers will be something you are sure to enjoy. The Mendocino County Fair and Apple Show dog shows and open horse shows, tractor pull for children, and even an Apple Bowl football game. If you like being surrounded by some of the oldest, tallest trees in the world, then look no further than Redwood Acres Fair & Rodeo held in Eureka, during late June. All weekend long are not simulated and real bull riding competitions, and everything you need to say is Ha-Ha to climb aboard.
