What is the best as far as scenery and beaches rock formation? Montauk, Long Island, NY, or Block Island, RI?

Are there places to camp OK? Hiking trails? Out of all that is beautiful, please elaborate.

Both Montauk and Block Island are literally a stone's throw from each other (separated the sound through Block Island Lighthouse Montauk). Both offer the same landscape, but it would give the go-ahead after Block Island, since it is an island surrounded by water. Beach wise, they are nearly equal. As for camps, it is better to go to Montauk for that. I Hither Hills State Park has a camping area. Block Island is a kind of bed and breakfast in the area. You can walk around Block Island for trails, and with respect to Montauk, you can walk along Route 27 from the Village of "The End" which is the Montauk lighthouse. There is also reason state park on the way to "bypass" if you want to see more scenery.
