Are there open water or masters swim races in your area of the world?

It’s April 3rd,2010. swim races for next 1/2/3 months is all I am looking for for now.
Need info on River races, lake races, & saltwater ocean races.
Please include e-mail or web address. I like to travel but can NOT afford all the lodging expense. Campgrounds or a moderate guest fee for lodging works for me …I live at the NJ shore on the beach and can reciprocate on the lodging if you travel to NJ open water swim races or masters pool races. I know a little bit about the May 23rd race in Gulf Breeze Florida and the May 23rd race in Pensacola is also pretty good. Look for some Navy Seals in Pensacola. Those guys can really swim.

The Gulf Breeze race is near the Florida/Alabama line and has a camping areas fairly close. You might want to try the Ft. Pickens campground. I’m not sure if it is closer to Gulf Breeze or Pensacola. (See link below)

If you go to Pensacola, visit the Naval Air Museum. It has a very good (and large) assortment of planes from the early days of flying until now. It’s entry fee is also very reasonable.

The temperature in Florida on May 23 is usually great for swimming.
