Where is the nicest campground in IL?

I’m looking for the nicest campground that will either be tent camping or cabins. I’m looking for a good deal, that will be by a lake, have good hiking, that is in Northern IL (not more than 2 hours driving from Chicago), please help me because i’m at a loss here.

Starved Rock. It’s farther than 2 hours, maybe 31/2 or 4 hours, but it’s worth the drive. Take I-55 or I-57 south to I-80 (if you’re close to 55 take it, it’s shorter.) Go west on 80 when you get towards Ottawa, start watching for the signs.
It’s been a long time, so I’m not sure exactly which exit sorry.
