Camping in San Diego on the beach?

Does anyone know the name thats camp in San Diego on the beach? their right to place some army i think that may be of Camp Pendleton. The beach is just down the hill from the camp and you can fish there. thats about all I can remember about that place. I went there when I was younger and was thinking about going there, but I can not remember exactly where I was or what it was called. Does anyone know?!

The campsite near Camp Pendleton, the San Onofree State Park. Good surf there too.
