Campgrounds Southern New Hampshire
Camping (RV pref-free) in southern New Hampshire, northern MA?
Seeking suggestions for car / tent in New Hampshire and Mass – Away from the crazy crowds on shore. They must be well wooded, have toilets (showers are good) and near the kid friendly entertainment. RV separate area (or none) preferred. Just got back from Bear Brook State Park in NH. Too noisy on weekends with many strong children (and adults) from 6:00 am. Archery Course was great. The lake was good for fishing, clean and refreshing bath / canoes but also crowded. Kid fishing pond was almost stagnant and did not fish. Looking for alternatives where young children and adults can enjoy peace and tranquility of nature, outdoor eating and sleeping in tents. 10 adults from various parts of New England limited the rate at which they meet in large numbers and southern New Hampshire are the places of choice. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Looking at the map all I can see in these areas are state parks. http://www.mass.gov/dcr/forparks.htm http://www.nhstateparks.org/
