Does anyone know of large camps (or camping at a distance) or near Courtenay Comox on Vancouver Island, BC?

What I call "great" means "beautiful place" (on the beach or forest), quiet with remote (i hate camping a couple of feet of the other campers) and if possible, not too many people:)

You seem as if they appreciate the parks administered by the provincial government more. They are usually more remote, and back to nature with lots of trees. Very different to private sites, which are tighter, but may offer more services. Nature poetry of modern life is compromise. Miracle Beach is about 20 km or 15 minutes north of Courtney / Comox. BC Parks Deputy description and reservations. Also the list to find a park anywhere before Christ. If booked, my second recommendation is the Puntledge RV park. This is a new camp run by the local Aboriginal tribe. It is a great site, on the edge of the city, however, you would never guess that it's so close. However, it is exactly what you describe as not what we want, an open field that emphasizes the proximity to the campers to come. Miracle Beach is actually much larger, but may not be able to say that once the unit and get to camp.
