LAMOINE Maine State Park near Ellsworth is a beautiful park of 55 acres for hikers who prefer to escape the crowds on Mount Desert Island. Since it is just north of the island off the coast of Maine, there are fantastic views of the northern part of the island and Cadillac Mountain.

Just south of the camping area is Picnic Point, a beautiful picnic area with a gazebo picnic, cooking dinner central coast and docking.
Pennsylvania Little Buffalo State Park offers large lawn with shade around several pools. Additional amenities include a playground, car Boat, two picnic pavilions, horseshoe pits, restrooms and picnic tables. The main picnic area is closed from November to April. The picnic area of the East, located in the Little Buffalo Historic District and open year round.

Connecticut is a wonderful coastal states with Numerous state parks along the beautiful Long Island Sound. Silver Sands State Park, near Milford, is one of the best. The beach with an offshore island is connected to the mainland by a sandbar and gravel, submerged at high tide. Captain Kidd is reputed to have buried his treasure on the island in 1699. The interior of the island is closed May 1 to Aug. 31 to protect colonies of herons and egrets. Picnic facilities along with navigation and fishing are abundant.
Maryland Sandy Point State Park offers over 786 acres of play space in the Chesapeake Bay. Offers a variety of recreational activities like swimming, fishing, crabbing, canoeing, windsurfing, and of course picnic areas. The park's beaches and picnic areas provide unparalleled views of the Bridge of the Chesapeake Bay in the Chesapeake Bay and as the ideal viewing.
Rhode Island Misquamicut State Park offers one of the most popular beaches the state, with more than a kilometer of beach. There are also many attractions for children. This modern pavilion includes many new concepts, including lanes, outdoor showers, the tower and composting toilets. This beach is filled to capacity during summer weekends sun.
Susquehanna State Park is located along the Susquehanna River valley and offers heavy forest cover and massive rock outcroppings. The park is also home to some of the trails more popular mountain biking in Maryland. The Deer Creek picnic area offers shaded picnic tables, grills, two picnic shelters and a modern bathroom.
