Summer is definitely the time to go. In the winter, is all white and cold. But in the summer, temperatures are mild and the colors are everywhere. In June, there are about 18 hours of sunlight in a day! The sun just seems to float there the whole horizon, ridicule, like that goes down, and then it again before you know it. You really have to stay late to see the time of the night in Alaska.
If you are not the unity of time (and paying for gas!), Things can always rent when you get there, including tents, camping and even RV. Many people come to Alaska, flying, because it is a long journey.

Denali is almost 250 miles from Anchorage, so it's not too bad a drive. The park has all kinds of accommodations, ranging from hotels to RV parks, backpacker camps that are only accessible on foot. If you are not for walking, there are bus tours that take you around to see the tundra. Some are day trips.
And now for the number one question everyone always asks about Denali – "Will I see brown bears?" There is a good likelihood that you will see, along with wolves and caribou as well. Denali is a pristine wilderness area, without a lot of tourists.
