Families Call Campgrounds Home

Its very well telling you that you should always make a checklist of camping, but what actually happens on the list. The best way to explain it is to work through how I prepared my list of camping when I went to North Devon earlier this year.
Ok to think about everything at once is not going to help is a sure way to kill forgetting of something essential, such as a toothbrush or the stakes! To begin, we break down the checklist into subsections. These usually include:
 • Team Sleep
 • Cooking Equipment
 • Lighting
 • Tent things
 • Food
 • Team Activities
 • Personal Hygiene
 • Clothing
A medicine •
 • Personal
The Next is to work through each section individually as I do below. See, since it seems much easier is not it!
Team sleep
Now this is the real bed going to sleep on / in within his tent. Usually this includes inflatable / so mat, sleeping bag / s, pillow / s, additional sheet / s. Basically everything you need for comfortable nights sleep.
Kitchen Equipment
Anything you might need for cooking goes here, this includes washing things. For two people who typically work through the process of cooking in my head. So first of all you have 2xsaucepans, 1xfrying bread, oil, double or single burner, matches or lighter, a large wooden spoon, spoon drain large (the kind with holes in the blade out and draining veg) 2xplates, 2xbowls, 2xspoons, 2xforks, 2xknifes, 1x sharp knife 2xcups, 2xmugs, can opener, scissors, film, paper towels, food bags and ties, kept fresh baths, washing up bowl, washing powder, washing, drying towel, water heater! (I almost forgot, see how easy it is!), water carrier or container, spare gas for cooking.
Lighting
This deserves a chapter apart, that is important. This includes 1x small torch, torch 1x Backup, 1x flashlight, extra batteries.
Carp Stuff
This includes obviously the tent (both internal and external), pegs, mallet, windbreaks. I also like to take a spare cloth clean the tent before packing it away so it must be sought again to start!
Food
Anything you want to eat while you are there. Normally you can buy fresh meat at a "how you want 'basis once they are there. Canned foods are a typical favorites of mine, rice packets is too good! Remember that if you buy any fresh food you need to keep them cool as a cooler and cold blocks will essential. Includes drink here too.
Activities
Are you biking, running, hiking, swimming, sunbathing, going to the beach and water sports. Write down all your activities and then under to write down everything you normally use for each one. Take an extra towel for the beach, in one case, it takes longer to dry than expected.
Personal Hygiene
Drafts of this list will be great men a little shorter but still longer than expected. Imagine waking up every morning and work their way through their morning tasks. Write down everything you normally use to get yourself looking pretty! Include here a towel and flip flops for the shower (we Save time getting nasty feet!).
Clothes
Write what you wear on a typical day and multiply by the number of days go away. Then add a whole additional set (in one case, is completely soaked!). Obviously, you do not need 7 pairs of shoes (ladies!), But a couple of package of slippers, a pair of trainers for casual wear, sports coaches and smart shoes. Think carefully about what you could do at night (in the sense of a good meal in the bar) when you may want more than a pair of shorts and a "hood"!
Medication
Just in case, have a kit. Tablets include diarrhea / re-hydration sachets in case. Pack for most eventualities, but remember its not like you're going to the Far East. If you need urgent medical help, or even a pharmacy, usually can find!
Personal items
This includes, wallet, money, phone, keys, iPod, chargers, sunglasses, books, reading glasses, cards, games, etc.
Now, as a final check back through your list and think, I really need this? Remember that packing light is easier in the long term. Also be careful not to overload the car!
