What’s the best place to go camping in lower Michigan?

My family and I have always wanted to go camping. We live in lower Michigan, and we find it extremely hard to lug tons of supplies up to the U.P. or other weird places. We just want a remote, super outdorsy place to go camping with a tent, and near a river to fish for fish. What we really want is authenticity here. A place to make a fire, fish, that’s remote, and always outdorsy. Please, we need a specific campground or free place that is legal. Help me please!

Fletchers Pond is more than 20 miles from Alpena, and Its HUGE! Try Lylons Landing, Its very nice, and most definitly outdoorsy. I go there once a year, one of the best things that happens to me each year. Theres lots to do their, theres a few small towns not to far away, their are many camp sites, great fishing, great boating, great nature, great camping, great eating, great staying, great people, great sites, You will love it. Its a very nice place to go, the whole lake is beautiful. Hope you go here, its very amazing.
