Indian Gardens Campground
Need information on Indian Gardens at Grand Canyon?
Need more information on reservations in the gardens of the India. I see no reference in Grand Canyon camping site reservations.
The reason is not on the site of the Grand Canyon Reserve camping is that since it is below the rim that falls under the jurisdiction of the Backcountry Reservations Office> aka the BRO You need what is called a back country permit Indian Gardens for this overnight [NPS IGC Code] is in the part of the canyon that the NPS calls the Corridor and that sort, except for the period from11/15> 2 / 28 only allowed total of 2 nights in a given corridor CG [from11/15> 2 / 28 # which is extended to 4 nights total] Most hikers use the IGC as a place to break a long walk cross the Tonto A CS legal to use if you get a late start in his downhill run a place for the night before beginning his long uphill hike through the canyon I used it once starting from Clear Creek Basin Needless to say it is a very popular incentive is likely to have problems to make room this year a safe walk Oh yeah Before I Forget http://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/backcountry.htm
