Camping around Calgary?

I’m looking for a good campground within an hours time of Calgary. Somewhere with a flexible, not very enforced quiet time, and lenient drinking policy. Macgregor was good, but I’d like to go somewhere with just a few more trees. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Slap on your backpack and hike into Coyote Hills, Grass Pass, etc. Stay South. Phone the KC visitor info center for info and the rules on random camping.

There is random camping on the highway 93, North heading up to Jasper – see the Gemtrek maps for details.

You’d be good at the backcountry campgrounds.
