The hero of spurious

The hero label is possibly the most ambiguous word in the English language. I recently mentioned in a speech to some from fellow Republicans that Thomas Edward Lawrence, Dian Fossey, David and Paul Wellstone were my heroes just for expressions of changes in attendance are interested to be indifferent. And things quickly went from bad to worse since questions started coming as fire arrows.

Was not this a lover of alcoholic Lawrence Arabic? "
"Exactly what makes a person a hero who decides to live with monkeys instead of humans?"
"Wellstone! You gotta be kidding. He was a Jew who voted against the invasion of Iraq. "

I waited until these people were satisfied that I had fixed directly in terms of who is and who was not a hero. I said, 'You have made it clear he does not care of my heroes. Now I want to make clear that I care for one of his heroes.

"Guys like John McCain and I are not heroes. We flew in a country it was not attacking the United States and unnecessarily killed innocent people. Case in point: Americans are being treated in Hanoi are better than in many cities U.S.. Moreover, I suspect that McCain knows better than anyone in this building.

"While I was a patient at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, Senator McCain explained that the source of my anger was being abandoned by my fellow citizens after being knocked down twice in Vietnam (a revelation). He also was mad as hell the Americans to leave him to rot in a POW camp for years, while listening to psychedelic music, wore flowers in their hair, and the party (I think I'm a hippie at heart because I thought these people were really good. Love, not war, is a pretty good mindset in my opinion).

"I listened with disbelief as McCain told me I had to choose between dying or talk, and because Americans do not care about it, they do not care. Even more boldly confessed that the nickname "Songbird" for his willingness to tell their captors, even more than they wanted. This is a flagrant violation of Article III of the United States Code of Military Conduct that states, If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will do everything possible to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor favors special enemy.

"Although it was a difficult moment for me, I am glad McCain had, unlike me, come together on their return home. Frankly, I did not think the "Songbird" story until years later when I heard author Gore Vidal estimated refer to it. In 2003 I began promoting McCain for president. But I was wrong, this guy is still full of hatred, and not Iraqis, Iranians or North Koreans
he hates. "

The last words were heard only by the walls. It was not you, Mr. Lawrence, Miss Fossey, and Mr. Wellstone, who was my chance. This is an election year and the current of false pride, like the Iguazu Falls.
