Road Trip Planners might think that a national park that was 95% desert was probably too wild for a family adventure, but in reality there are a number of areas in Olympic National Park that make it kid-friendly place. If you want to introduce children to the wonders of the natural state of the Earth then take to this unique National Park, in Washington.

What sets this park apart from others is that the Olympic National Park is divided into three distinct regions: Pacific Coast rugged, the Olympic Mountains and the lush rainforest. Three clearly different biospheres … a wonderful holiday.

The most popular area is the 9-mile Ozette Loop. It has 3 miles each of a coastal forest, ocean beaches, and camping at Lake Ozette. While it is 9 miles and may be too much for children under 5, is an easy hike for families because the change in elevation is only 100 meters from sea level. Two triangular sections of this hike have gateways.

If you are traveling with small children, can choose hiking adventure, but still enjoy the comforts of a hotel each night with maybe an overnight camp for a day of total immersion and night. Coast: The coastal areas of the park is a rugged, sandy beach with a strip of adjacent forest. The beach has uninterrupted stretches of desert between 10 and 20 miles.

MOUNTAINS: The Olympic Mountains rise from the center of the park, dominated by the peak of Mount Olympus, which rises to 7965 feet. It has several glaciers, the largest of which is the Hoh glacier, nearly five kilometers long. The range becomes drier in the East due to the rain shadow of the western mountains. Here the high peaks, steep ridges and numerous. The highest peak of this area is Mount deception to 7788 feet.

The views of the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de * Rialto Beach has exciting rocky islands known as seastacks that make impressive views in photographs, especially with the waves breaking on the pavement as sections of beach. This is a great place to take pictures during the sunset.
