Croton's where most of the action begins. For three miles below the Croton Dam is solid rifles spawning gravel and expansive. This section is loaded with many resident trout from 12 "to 16".

The central section, Newaygo Thornapple access is where a large number of Great Lakes Salmon and Steelhead migrate to maintain and generate all winter and spring.

The months of November, December, March and April are the best times of year for Steelhead. Steelheads Ten pounds is common, but there are fish up to 20 pounds!
