What are some good campgrounds in the B.C. mountains?

I’m an Alberta resident looking to drive from Calgary into B.C. to camp in the mountains. I don’t want to drive to far into B.C. I want to camp for 6-7 nights with a large tent and medium screen house and my Jeep. I’d prefer to be near a beach for wading/swimming and canoeing. I also tend to prefer provincial parks over privately-owned parks. With those requirements, and a little room for comprimise, what are some good suggestions?
