Rocky Springs Campground Mississippi

Is anyone from Mississippi? Has anyone driven the Natchez Trace Parkway?

I will be driving across Mississippi with a few days to spare, and I am thinking of taking the Natchez Trace Parkway. Any specific advice on things to see and places to eat along the way? If you wanted to stop in Natchez or Jackson or Tupelo what would you see or do? Would you tent camp along the parkway (in May)? If so, would you pick Jeff Busby Campground or Meriwether Lewis Campground or Rocky Springs Campground? Thanks.

One thing to keep in mind…the speed limit on the Trace is 50. It is pretty scenic. Lots of historic sites. Expect to see lots of wildlife (turkey, deer, etc.). Camping in May could get hot, but not unbearable. I live in Jackson, there are a few things to do. Old capitol museum, golf, Ross Barnett Reservoir, good food. Depending on when in May you are coming, there are some good concerts.
