The city of Wenatchee, is the largest community in the entire North Central Washington area, and is a great place to travel. With the Columbia River, which flows from the right, and a number of lakes in the area, the city and its surroundings is very popular among those who appreciate the outdoors. Here's a look at some of the camps larger than those who visit the Wenatchee area, used.

Lake Wenatchee State Park

Lake Wenatchee State Park is about 45 minutes west of Wenatchee. It sits on the shores of Lake Wenatchee, the Wenatchee River right where the leaves on their long journey toward the Columbia River. There are many hiking and recreational opportunities water in and around the park. There's a boat that implementation can be used to access the lake. The park also features a large area of rocky beach that is one of focal points for most campers.

Icicle Canyon

Just south of the beautiful Bavarian community and fun of Leavenworth, is Snow Canyon terrain. There are a number of hiking trails and camps throughout the area, and is also popular with climbers. The canyon is about 45 minutes west of Wenatchee and is popular with hikers, backpackers, and climbers. The edges of the canyon in some of the most beautiful natural protected areas in Washington state, some of which require permits to enter.

25 Mile Creek State Park

For those wanting to experience camping is a little more rustic in nature, 25 Mile Creek State Park can be just the thing. The park is an hour from Wenatchee and close to other popular state park in the area, the Park State of Lake Chelan. Hiking, boating, and fishing are some of the popular things to do in the park. He sits on the shores of beautiful Lake Chelan, 51 miles long lake glacier-fed, and although it is less developed, is enjoyed by those who appreciate away from it all.

Confluence State Park

Confluence State Park is at the north end of Wenatchee, Wenatchee just where the river meets the Columbia River. This is a popular place for RV camping and for those using the facilities for everyday use. There are a number of wide open spaces, easy access to the Columbia River, including a swimming area and boat launch, and more. The park also connects to the Apple Capital Loop Trail, a paved road ten miles from the lines on both the east and west of the Columbia River.

Orondo Park County

Located on the east side of the Columbia River, about twenty minutes north of Wenatchee in the small community of Orondo is Orondo County Park. This small park has RV spaces, campsites for tent camping, and a dock on the Columbia River. There is also a small shop in the park that offers water and soft toys.
